Connect

Use the remote Streamable HTTP URL https://protocol-guide.com/api/mcp. Sign in with your Protocol Guide account when prompted. Approve only if the callback host shown on the consent page matches your AI client.

  1. Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the URL and complete OAuth sign-in.
  2. ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Create custom connector (developer mode). Paste the URL and complete OAuth sign-in.
  3. Claude Code: Run claude mcp add --transport http protocol-guide https://protocol-guide.com/api/mcp, then use /mcp to authenticate.
  4. Codex: Run codex mcp add protocol-guide --url https://protocol-guide.com/api/mcp, then authenticate with codex mcp login protocol-guide.

Your client must support OAuth authorization code with PKCE. The connector only exposes EMS protocol search, exact agency protocol retrieval, agencies, and coverage. It cannot edit data, billing, or your account.

Plans

Free: five MCP tool calls per day. Tool discovery and sign-in do not consume calls. A call to search, get, agency list, or coverage counts once.

Pro: unlimited MCP tool calls with an active Protocol Guide Pro subscription. $9.99/month or $89/year on the web through Stripe. Existing active Pro and eligible department accounts use their current entitlement; no separate MCP payment.

Agency permissions still apply. National searches require an eligible education or enterprise subscription. Upgrade to Pro or manage your account.

Safety and support
